I got married on the 16th of february 2008 (Valentine Weekend) because weird as it may seem to some it was the closest day to the date that my dad died 11 years earlier. The sun shone with bright blue sky from the moment i woke up. 
I was advised by my florist that because we were having tropical flowers they would be normal prices and wouldn&#039;t be affected by Valentines. I would check with your florist about different flower varieties if you desperately want to have an occasion date and be prepared for a much bigger bill!
